Future of Driving publishes articles and an energy-cost calculator. You do not need an account to use them. This notice explains the services used to deliver the website and measure its use.
Hosting and security
The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes network information, which can include IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect the website. This is separate from the audience statistics described below. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its handling of information through its services.
Website analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand visits, page views and page performance. Reports can include the pages viewed, referring websites, country and device/browser information. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage for usage measurement, or fingerprint individual visitors for analytics. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.
Calculator inputs
The energy-cost calculator runs in your browser. Its numerical inputs are not sent to us or saved by the calculator. Visiting the calculator page can still generate the hosting and analytics information described above.

Articles link to sources and other websites. Following those links takes you to services with their own privacy practices. The linked video report is opened on the original publisher’s website rather than embedded here.
Correspondence
If you email Future of Driving, your email address, message and any attachments are used to handle your enquiry or check a correction. Messages sent to [email protected] are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to Gmail, provided by Google, and handled by the publication owner.
Correspondence is kept while needed to handle the enquiry or maintain the relevant correction record. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information.
